Thanks to the generosity of many during our final #GiveBIG day, six villages are receiving three-stall septic latrines with handwashing stations. And now, these much-needed facilities are under construction! The team in Sierra Leone has begun construction on the latrines in Buma, Sembehun, and Gbama villages, with more on the way!
Health is inextricably linked to education. These septic toilets with rainwater collection handwashing stations will give these villages the facilities they need to keep their community safe and healthy for generations to come. This will allow the whole community to have access to clean, safe, private, and sanitary facilities for maintaining personal hygiene. Healthy children are more likely to go to school, paving the way for a generation of educated children. Thank you for making this possible for these six villages! As soon as these first WASH stations are complete, our team will begin construction of the stations in the remaining villages. Stay tuned for more updates and photos!
